Water treatment

MicroFlex Water

Technical description
AquaFlex 800 is a plant for the treatment of drinking water, able to supply cold and hot water (T > 60°C) without suspended solids and with hardness lower than 10°f (i.e. with content of calcium lower than 100 mg/L expressed as CaCO3). AquaFlex 800 is therefore the ideal partner to be coupled with MicroFlex 12, 24 and 48 filters for the correct regeneration of microfiltration membranes. The unit includes three treatment stages, namely:

  1. micro-filtration
  2. Softening of the microfiltered water
  3. Heating of the microfiltered and softened water up to a temperature of 85°C.

AquaFlex 800 uses the pressure of the feed circuit of the water to be treated. It has only one inlet (DIN 11851 DN40/Garolla 50) in the area of the microfiltration stage and three outlets, from each of which it is possible to extract:

  • Microfiltered water (cold) - connection DIN 11851 DN40 / Garolla DN 50
  • Microfiltered and softened water (cold) - connection DIN 11851 DN40/ Garolla DN 50
  • Microfiltered, softened and heated water - connection DIN 11851 DN40/ Garolla DN 50

The unit has an electrical panel which, in the standard configuration, can be connected to the electrical network with a four-pole socket (3 phases + earth) of 400 V 50 Hz / 63 A.

The AquaFlex 800 drinking water treatment system offers the following advantages:

  • Simple to use
  • Very good hygiene of the plant
  • Very good quality of the product
  • Replaceable membrane (for the filtration phase)
  • Regeneration of resins by volume or time
  • Suitable for all wineries
  • AquaFlex 800

AQUAFLEX

Automation
The AquaFlex 800 unit is equipped with a pressure reducer on the potable water inlet line in order to limit the water pressure on the hydraulic line. The regeneration of the microfiltration insert must be carried out manually in co-current or counter-current, with the use of the bypass circuit suitable for this purpose, a circulation pump and a tank (both not included in the delivery). The regeneration of the resins is carried out with a saline solution, in a suitable tank integrated in the unit. Moreover, the regeneration of the resins is automated and can be set in the mode "volumetric" or "time-dependent". The volumetric control lies in measuring the quantity of softened water so that the regeneration is carried out before the resins run dry. The time-dependent modality provides for regeneration according to a fixed time schedule (e.g. daily, weekly, etc.). As for the heating of the softened water in the storage tank, two thermostats are provided, both set to the temperature of 85°C: a thermometer for visualizing the temperature of the softened water and a safety valve with combined action for temperature and pressure.
