MicroFlex

MicroFlex

Technical description:
The MicroFlex filtration system is an orthogonal (flow-through) filtration system with filter inserts, characterized by a high level of automation. Thanks to the continuous monitoring and processing of the filtration parameters, the Intelliflex software (patent pending) is able to manage and optimize the whole process procedure completely automatically. The MicroFlex 12 model performs all filtration cycles fully automatically and needs the operator's work only for the washing cycle. The MicroFlex 24 and 48 models automatically perform all filtration and washing cycles, without operator assistance.

The MicroFlex filtration plant is designed to process white and red wine, both still and sparkling. The plant is also suitable for filtration of clear musts.

The MicroFlex filtration system offers the following advantages:

  • High automation
  • Excellent hygiene
  • Excellent product quality
  • Replaceable membranes
  • Suitable for all filtration tasks in the winery
  • No heating of the product
  • Extremely moderate energy consumption

Automation
The MicroFlex 12 model is equipped with manual valves and has neither a washing tank nor a detergent dosing pump. The PLC automatically performs all filtration operations, but needs the operator for the washing process. MicroFlex 24 and 48 models are equipped with pneumatically controlled automatic valves, a washing tank and dosing pumps for detergents. These models are able to perform all operations, i.e. filling, filtration, emptying, washing, etc. without the help of the operator. All the phases, the operating conditions, the set points, the switching points and times of the valves and pumps, are visualized through a touch screen. The pumps and the positioning of the automatic valves during the production and washing phases are controlled and monitored by the PLC. The operational parameters and alarms are managed by the PLC, that also prevents the functioning of the plant under deviating conditions or insufficient safety for the membranes or for the operator.
